I have just gone back and watched a PT playthrough. And my god does the pack I used look identical. I knew that it looked visually similar but I didn't realise it was pretty much identical.
The title didn't really make a lot of sense since I didn't see much about Halloween BUT I REALLY LIKED THE GAME! The game had great tension building and then a nice ugly monster at the end. Amazing concept.
I would like to collaborate with you on your next projects.
I'm a game writer for various indie studios , and always on the lookout for new challengers.
My role as a writer is to formulate character / narrative driven documents , gaming and character backstories , as well as implementing puzzles and side quests.
I too have completed my first kinetic VN - Axiom Alternative. Available for purchase on STEAM, and very soon will be working on another VN project with a different studio, and Axiom Alternative 2 is currently available on STEAM. I'm up for any challenge, and would like the opportunity to show your studio what writing material I can bring to the table.
I'm currently working on a document for a psychological, horror type game. Maybe we could collab on future gaming projects.
It was a nice experince i enjoyed the sound, visuals only thing that was "bad" was the monster but I understand it wont be perfect since it was made in such a short time overall enjoyable game
This game has got to be one of the better games on Itch.io for sure! The game was scary and had an interesting, but not too complicated story. The graphics were beautiful. I just wished there was settings for the brightness and mouse sensitivity. Loved the game. :)
You got me going there, that's for sure. I was glad I read that note before I bumped into one of those creatures. I've never jumped any faster into a room in my life. Good to know my reactions are still OK.
I am a real sucker for detail/s and you gave my eyes a true bacchanal, so to speak, as I'm drunk with so many, very nice images. Smooth game, nice tensions, great sounds and time well spent. Highly recommended. Thank you, guys [all of you], for making this wonderful game.
I'm really glad to hear you liked the game. Although I used a couple of assets from the UE marketplace I put a lot into making it the best it can be. good to know my hard work paid off :D
Your hard work payed off in spades. It's difficult to create the right atmosphere to immerse into a world where nothing is what it seems. You did it with flying colors. I'm looking forward to play your next game/s. You did a really great job.
Game looked and sounded great. It also was really scary! I felt really terrified while playing :< Only thing that kind of bothered me was how fast the dialog went sometimes but I might just be slow reader ^^'
That was alright. I got stuck looking for the flashlight, and again for the key, which kind of killed the pace for me. I also realized it's not necessary to find the notes, so maybe I missed some info somewhere.
Aesthetically, a very pleasing game. I loved the look and sound design.
Overall, pretty darn good for a 9 day solo jam! Glad I played it.
A fun short horror experience. The only critique I have is there's really no story - I'm curious to know why the protagonist hates Halloween, does Dexter have any backstory, and what the monster is and why it's lurking in the apartment? Other than that, I think this game looks and plays pretty well and has potential to be a full-version game. Keep up the good work!
I'm glad you liked it. I think once the jam is over I'm going fix up and turn this into a demo. It would be fun turning this into a full game and flushing out the story :)
Visually striking, creepy, but overall, not that great. Although, I did enjoy the game, but it crashed 2-3 times so, maybe it's my PC, but I don't think so. Anyways, not bad.
I'm sorry to hear it crashed. Did you try changing the settings in the option's menu? And yeah I would have liked to add more engaging encounters and mechanics.
The game might still have some bugs, like walking through wall, the monster stuck at certain area, etc, but it's still playable, and it's still fun to play. Good job!

Another PT clone.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and the title will make more sense when I turn it into full game.
I know this is random but I HIT 100 SUBSCRIBERS!!!
Congratulations. Anyone who has tried to get a following on YouTube knows how hard it is these days to get noticed. Keep up the good work :)
Facts….Thank you so much❤️
Thanks I'm glad you liked it.
Hey good game dude,it was a quick experience that i liked!!

Gameplay PT-BR
I think I'm going to turn it into a full game at some point.
Great game, it was really scary!
I'm glad you liked it :)
Glad to see you got out of there :)
Happy halloween and i think i might fear halloween now thanks to this game. A lot of fun and I loved the p.t. style with the change
I wonder if I'll ever escape the comparison to PT :D I'm glad you enjoyed it though.
Thanks and I have updated the game so that the creature shouldn't get stuck anymore :)
aww ok thank you!!!
Pretty good for a short jam gam. Ran into a couple bugs (can see through a wall mainly).
I have updated the game and fixed most of the bugs :)
Cool. 👍🏻
The assets you used made this game look really nice. It was also really creepy. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, and yeah the assets look incredible.
The game is short but good! It has a small understandable story and a dark creature with whom we will have contact. Good job :D

THE GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING!!!
It's unfortunate you ran into a couple bugs during your playthrough.
I'm glad you liked it. I'm going to update some of the bugs soon once the jam is over.

I'm glad you liked it. I'm planning on updating the game once the Jam is over and addressing the issues people have found.
Awesome game!!✌✌✌
Glad you liked it :)
I'm definitely going to fix the bugs once the jam is over. Good to hear you enjoyed it :)

@ JamesM GD,

Thanks, I really appreciate the support :)

I'll add the dialog onto the list for updates once the jam is over.
Interesting wish it were longer though.
I've had a few comments saying it should be longer. I think I may have to make a full length game out of this.
Yeah a full game would be very cool but make the flashlight easier to find haha.
Not a bad little game which is made in 9 days solo, good work :)

There's a couple of things I'd like to update to make it a little easier for the player to progress. I'm glad the hard work paid off :)
Oh, I'm also curious - the hallway in the apartment reminded me a lot of PT, was that an intentional nod or just a random similarity?

I'm glad you liked the graphics. I really do love photorealistic horror games.

creepy
I tried my best :D

It's alright. I tried it couple of times, but no work. Thanks for the response thou!
Thanks, I appreciate it.
The game might still have some bugs, like walking through wall, the monster stuck at certain area, etc, but it's still playable, and it's still fun to play. Good job!
Congratulations on being the first playthrough without a bug haha :) I'm glad you liked it.
This was creepy i think i kinda broke it close to the end but was still goodYeah. there's a couple bugs that need fixing.
Very cool. This would carry over to a larger game easily.
This was very creepy and ran very well need more gameplay though.
Maybe I'll make a full game about it if it gets some traction :)
it was fun actually i enjoyed it and i would have a video for you to watch later on to see how i cheated in your game :D
I don't even know how you'd find a way to cheat but ok lol
its not technacly cheating but i think i got the poor monster stuck :D but i hope you enjoy the vid nonetheless :D
Definitely gave me a few laughs. And yeah... might have been a slight oversight with the enemy ai.
nice ... and it wasnt bad i got the thumbnail out of it :D
